When I started, nobody called it strategy. They called it survival, community work, or whatever word made it small enough to underfund.
But the work was never small.
Every program I built began with a plan designed to outlast the contract, the title, and the institution holding it. This is where I write down the mechanics—the reads on people, power, policy, culture, and capacity that make the difference between work that fades and work that holds.
